How Much Does A Bathroom Remodel Cost

One of the biggest questions we get is, “How much does a bathroom remodel cost?”

The unfortunate answer is that prices are all over the place with the cheapest quotes leaving out the things that prevent remodeling horror stories: planning, protection, and project management

So today I wanted to show you three levels of guest bathroom remodels we build all the time, with what’s included and why our clients typically invest.

We call our 3 tiers: Builder Upgrade, Premium, and Designer

At SITO, regardless of the scope, every project is:

Planned from start to finish - We review the entire scope to create an accurate estimate and realistic timeline for your project to remove surprise change orders or “why are we delayed?” conversations.

Clean and organized - Floor protection, plastic walls, and a final cleaning are a standard to protect our clients home and belongings.

Actively Managed - We are consistently onsite making sure everything from the planning phase is getting implemented on the jobsite, and we solve any questions as they come up.

That means the scope, finishes, and complexities change, but the craftsmanship is the same across the board.

For this guide, we’ll assume a standard guest bathroom where the walls are staying in the same place, and we’re replacing the flooring, shower, fixtures, installing new trim, and repainting the bathroom. With that in mind, here are the options:

Designer Tier - The “Wow” Guest Bathroom

Let’s start with the Designer tier for a guest bathroom.

Here we’re typically doing:

  • A custom vanity with a quartzite countertop

  • A new lighting layout, with an option for a lighted mirror

  • Higher-end tile or more complex layouts

  • A shower with bench, lighted niche, and a custom glass door system

  • Brizo or higher plumbing fixtures and matching accessories

This level of remodel starts around $37,000 and can climb over $40,000 depending on the options you choose. It is for people who want a true “designer” bathroom that feels like a boutique hotel.

Premium Tier - High Quality, Most Popular

Now let's get into the Premium Tier.

Here we’re usually looking at:

  • A quality cabinet with a quartz remnant countertop

  • Some new lighting in the bathroom

  • A tiled shower with a niche

  • A custom glass shower door

  • Delta fixtures from a showroom, not from big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s

This type of remodel typically costs about $26,000 and can creep towards $30,000 if the customer wants to pull a couple ideas from the designer tier. For most homeowners this is the sweet spot between investment and impact.

Builder Upgrade - Smart, Standardized Refresh

Finally we have the Builder Upgrade.

Like we mentioned earlier, the process and quality of work are the same, but here we’re working with more standardized, off‑the‑shelf materials:

  • A vanity with a matching countertop from a big box supplier

  • A sliding glass door manufactured for a 60″ width

  • Delta plumbing fixtures that are off the shelf

When we’re doing the full bathroom using those readily available packages, we’re typically looking at $21,000 to $23,000. It’s the best way to get SITO’s planning and management while keeping materials more budget-conscious.

If one of these tiers feels like the right fit, give us a call and we can schedule a walkthrough to look at your space, confirm which level makes sense, and give you a detailed proposal.

We look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Thaddeus Klaus
